Privacy

Privacy, plainly explained.

This site collects only the information needed to respond to inquiries and receive professional perspectives. This policy explains what happens to that information.

Last updated · August 25, 2026

The short version

I do not sell personal information or use form submissions for unrelated advertising. If you have a privacy question or request, use the Contact page.

Information I collect

I collect information you choose to provide through the site's contact and professional reference forms.

  • Contact inquiries: name, email address, organization, inquiry topic, and message.
  • Professional references: name, role, organization when provided, working relationship, written perspective, attribution preference, and optional comments.
  • Basic technical information: the hosting and form-delivery providers may process information such as an IP address, browser details, timestamps, and security logs as part of operating and protecting their services.

How I use information

I use submitted information to respond to messages, understand potential projects or collaborations, maintain relevant business correspondence, evaluate professional references, prevent misuse, and operate the site.

I do not sell submitted information, use it for unrelated marketing, or make a reference public without first confirming the exact quote and attribution with the person who provided it.

Form delivery, storage, and service providers

Forms are delivered through FormSubmit and forwarded to an email account operated by Google. Submitted form information is also retained in a private site database and displayed in a private Google Sheet so I can manage inquiries and professional references. It is not published or made available through the public pages of this site.

FormSubmit states that it retains form submissions for up to 30 days. Google may retain email messages and private spreadsheet records according to its services and my account settings. The site is hosted through OpenAI Sites and its infrastructure providers. These providers may process the submitted information and limited technical information required to serve, store, and secure the website. Their own terms and privacy practices govern their processing.

Retention

I retain ordinary contact inquiries for up to 24 months after the last meaningful interaction, unless a longer period is reasonably needed for an active business relationship, recordkeeping, security, dispute resolution, or legal compliance.

Unpublished reference responses are retained for up to 24 months. Approved quotes, their attribution, and the related approval record may be retained while the quote remains published and for a reasonable period afterward. Information that is no longer needed will be deleted or securely disposed of where reasonably possible.

Cookies and tracking

I do not currently add advertising pixels, behavioral advertising tools, or optional analytics tracking to this site. The hosting provider may use strictly necessary technologies for security, traffic routing, and basic site operation.

If optional analytics or advertising technologies are added later, this policy and any required consent controls will be updated before those tools are used.

Your choices and rights

You may ask what personal information I hold about you, request a correction or deletion, withdraw a professional reference from consideration, or revoke permission to display a published reference. Rights can differ by location, and I will respond to valid requests as required by applicable law.

To make a request without publishing an email address on this site, select Other on the Contact page and begin your message with “Privacy request.” I may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.

Security and sensitive information

I take reasonable steps to protect information, but no online transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure. Please do not submit passwords, financial account information, health information, government identifiers, confidential employer information, or other sensitive material through these forms.

Children's privacy

This professional website is not directed to children under 13, and I do not knowingly collect personal information from children through it. If you believe a child has submitted information, use the Contact page so I can review and delete it.

Policy updates

I may update this policy when the site's forms, providers, tracking practices, or legal obligations change. The date at the top of this page identifies the latest version.
